some scholl firred their network manager for recommeneidng linux. they said the term isn’t fired, since apperently his job woudld not help them in the future. this is the same guy who’s worked for them for 11 years and set up their first network at that school. this guy thinks everyone lobbied against him, to get rid of him

I would have fired him too, linux is pretty suck. i highly doubt any ole’ retarded teacher owuld bbe able to figuer it out either.

myspace hates gays

myspace had removed the option to put gya as your sexual orientation for a day, apparently due to ‘technical difficulties.’ people began to make up stuff, like saying myspace resally did hate gays. word got out enough, that there was actualyl an annoucement saying it was technical and thye dont hate gays.

I think it’s funny people actually started to come up with conspiricies that led to myspace hating gay people. it’s so stupid. some people are so stupid it makes me want to cry.

microsoft buying yahoo

miscrosoft wants to buy yahoo for $50 million. microsoft is doing this at the time where theyre really trying to keep up with google, as far as web search goes. microsoft trails both google and yahoo in the web search business.

microsoft is just looking to keep up in terms of popularity, which is cool i guess. they’d probably make a ton of money from this, too, since yahoo is one of the most popular websearch place things.

Apple Notifies Partners: DRM-free Music and DRM-free Music Videos Soon

yesterday apple sent out emails saying that they would soon be providing drm-free music. they said “Many of you have reached out to iTunes to find out how you can make your songs available higher quality and DRM-free. Starting next month, iTunes will begin offering higher-quality, DRM-free music and DRM-free music videos to all customers.” so basically they’re making the songs sound better, and not have crappy protection on them.

DRM sucks. ive said it before. it just causes more problems than it helps. people still figure out how to get around it. so it’s crappy protection that doesnt work. i dont know, i geuss its cool they getting rid of it and making quality better

Text messaging harms written language

people are saying that text messaging is going to hard written languages due to spelling and grammar errors that are constantly happening. apperently by using short sentances and phonetic spellings, you destroy languages.

this is stupid. people type like retards on the internet, and english is still fine. i dont even see how this would affect anything.

P2P Anti-Piracy System Defeated With 2 Clicks

logistep is aa file sharing snoppiong program, and a lot of epopel don’t want to connect with people that have this program on, to insure their own priovacy. however, logistep doesn’t support a feature that’s in emule called Protocol Obfuscation. this basically allows the cliant to hide their protocal from all other clients. in emule, all you have to do is enough PO, and it won’t connect with any logistep clients. it also wont connect with any other earlier versions of emule that doesn’t support PO though. small price to pay tho.

i cant believe people are still running around in p2p programs like this searching for people, now that most people are using torrents. atleast someone thought of a good way to not get caught. :p

Google Search History Expands, Becomes Web History

google toolbar is now defaulted to track every page you go to on the web now, rather thn just searches. this feature has always been around, but only if the page ranking thing was enabled. some people are worried about the privacy issues, but there’s a way to clear it, and stop it too.

i dont like toolbars, they’ve always made me nervous. then again, i really don’t think they should be tracking where you go and sending it around then. then again, i guess if yhour that worried about it, you should be going to place you shouldnmt be, or places that would make you look creepy.

RIAA gives student 24 hours

two people in texas are being told, one day in advance to show up in the RIAA lawyers office for something RIAA isn’t even sure of. they’re assumed to be big distributers of RIAA music. this isn’t the first time the RIAA has tried to scare people into giving themselves up.

the riaa is just as dumb as the mpaa. i think theyre the same people, i dunno. anyways, it’s crap they’re just trying to scare people into admiting to something they don’t even know about.

OS Insecurities and Myths

a lot of people think that becasue mac is a lot less popular than windows, is the main reason there’s hardly any viruses for macs. ( even i thought this ) apperently that isn’t the case. when mac moved from os 9, to os x, they totally rewrote everything, making everything in the past obsolete. windows hasn’t done this, since their still on the win32 format. they had a chance in 1997 to move to an nt format, but they wante dto stay backwards compatible. thye didn’t and thats’ why windows hs a lot more viruses now than macs do

like i said up there, i thought the main reason was because not as many people had macs, so it wouldn’t be as benificial to virus maker man people to do it on something that isnt’ as popular aas windows. if i was doing it, i would of course want to go for the more popular one. but this article makes a good point that i can liek understand and stuff.
